Kips Bay began on-site work at public schools in 1991, and currently provides after-school Boys & Girls programming at 3 schools. Education is a required activity at all sites. We also complement education programming with such activities as leadership and service clubs, sports and fitness, drug/alcohol awareness, field trips to the Lucile Palmaro Clubhouse, performing arts, et al.

Project learning provides special energy and learning opportunities at our school sites. Notable is our mushrooming maritime and marine environmental programming. These activities began at P.S.101 in 2003 to complement the maritime theme of this District 8 magnet school. Other examples of stimulating project learning at the sites include: film making, violence prevention through performing arts and science lab experiments.
