FREDERIC R. COUDERT SPORTS COMPLEX
The Frederic R. Coudert Sports Complex is a state of the art facility that is comprised of a out door basketball court, transitional ice/roller rink with a professional sound and lighting system, tournament style baseball field and a dome facility that is approximately 150’ x 60’. Our dome facility provides our members the opportunity to participate in CORE activities such as soccer, flag football, dodge ball and various recreation activities. We also have a professional batting cage with pitching machine located inside the dome.

BASEBALL

The KIPS BAY BOYS & GIRLS CLUB Baseball Program is an exciting program that provides young people between the ages of 6-18 years of age with the opportunity to learn sportmanship, develop a positive selp-image and gain mentorship while learning the game of baseball in a safe fun filled environment.

For the more serious enthusiast we provide an array of service from private lessons ( group or one on one), clinics and league play.  The Mustang Baseball  Clinic will provide an intense learning environment designed to improve the fundamental skills necessary to become a better all around player. Instructions will include the following:

  • Fundamental drills
  • Practicing techniques
  • Academic component
  • Goal setting
  • Game situation strategies
  • Weight training/nutrition
  • Aquatic conditioning

HOCKEY

As part of an ongoing effort to promote enthusiasm and the enjoyment of hockey, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club has prepared a hockey and a “learn to skate” program. This program will accommodate the needs of our members 6-13 years of age.  The objective of this program is to provide young people with the opportunity to skate in a positive and healthy environment while learning a sport that they will be able to appreciate a lifetime. The emphasis is to develop a non-competitive environment for the younger age levels that stresses the fun of playing and the learning of basic skills.

2.5 hours of practice per week

FOOTBALL

Kips Bay Mustangs Football program runs all year round.  Our Spring NFL Flag League runs from February - June ages 6-17 for Boys and Girls.  Flag football will take place inside our dome facility located on Lacombe Avenue. 

  • While the NFL Flag is running we start our registration for the Pop Warner Tackle/Flag season for Boys and Girls. 
  • The Pop Warner Tackle/Flag practice season begins on July 30th of every year, The season begins on Labor Day weekend and ends roughly around November. 
  • Ages 6-7 Flag Division has no weight requirement and Ages 7-15
  • Tackle Divisions do have an age and weight requirement (Must come and get weighed for the Tackle Divisions). 
  • Home games are played at Stevenson Field and the away games are played in Connecticut. 
  • We participate in the Southern CT Pop Warner League.  The Kips Bay Mustangs Football program also has special programming that involves:

Speed Camp, Football Mini-Camp (Depending on NFL Flag's scheduling).

NFL Flag Football

REGISTRATION INFO:
Registration will be held March 16, 2009 to April 9, 2009, Monday thru Friday from 6:00pm-8:00pm, inside the Kips Bay Sports Complex office. 
Registration fee: $60.00 per player (Price includes a Jersey). No personal checks or cash will be accepted. 
Participants must be a 2009 member of Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, between the ages of 6-17 years of age. 

copies of birth certificate and immunizations are required.

PRACTICES:
All practices will be held in the dome
Wednesday & Friday from 6:00pm-9:00pm
6-11  years of age 6:00pm-7:30pm
12-17 years of age 7:30pm-9:00pm

Team schedules will be issued upon completion of Rosters.
GAMES:
All games will be held in the Dome 
Wednesday & Friday from 6:00pm-9:00pm 
Saturday & Sunday from 10:00am-2:00pm

The dome is located on Lacombe Avenue (All participants are asked to enter the dome on Lacombe Avenue).

BASKETBALL


PHILOSOPHY: Our program’s philosophy is that our staff and coaches are here to provide an educational and fun filled experience for our youth through the world of basketball.  We use the game of basketball and its disciplines to help young people understand and prepare for the intricacies of life.  Coaches and parents are striving to teach the players the fundamentals and rules of the game of basketball, while providing an appropriate environment to learn and have fun.  We will provide an intense learning environment designed to improve the fundamental skills necessary to become a better all around student athlete.

Basketball Academy Development Program
The KIPS BAY BOYS & GIRLS CLUB INC. BASKETBALL ACADEMY DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM is an exciting program that provides young people between the ages of 6-12 years with the opportunity to learn sportsmanship develop a positive self-image and gain mentorship while learning the game of basketball in a safe fun filled environment.  All of our instructors have years of experience and believe passionately about empowering our youth through the wonderful game of basketball and educational opportunities.  Each workout session teaches the fundamentals of the game and with emphasis on developing our youth and makes the game fun.  Young people have the opportunity to learn the game through an array of skills building drills.

We have 2 co-ed sessions that are held on Saturdays during the months of October through February.

1st Session: 10:00am – 12:00am for 6-9 year olds
2nd Session: 12:30pm – 2:30pm for 10 – 12 year olds

For activity fees are $125.00
